31 distinct Japanese voices. Multi-style emotion on supported voices: normal, sad, whisper, shouting and more.
Most TTS apps read "100kg" as "hyaku kē jī" and "2024/12/31" as "two-zero-two-four slash…". Yomite has a dictionary-based text preprocessor that normalises dates, times, currencies, SI units, math operators, chemical formulas, Roman numerals, fractions, superscripts, and logic symbols before synthesis. The result: text reads how a person would actually say it.

Yes. Voice models live on your device after first download. All synthesis happens locally; no internet needed during playback.
iPhone (A12 Bionic or newer), iPad (A12+), and Mac (M1+) running iOS 17 / iPadOS 17 / macOS 14 or later.
Each voice is 127–270 MB. You can choose regular- or premium-quality builds. The shared 言語処理 language model (~667 MB ) is downloaded once.
An Android version is in development. Subscribe to the newsletter for release news.
m4a / WAV export is planned. Voices ship under 高品質ボイスモデル — commercial use is permitted, but please verify per-voice terms before publishing.

読み手 (yomite) is Japanese for "the reader" — the one who reads a story aloud. The concept: every bookshelf deserves its own dedicated reader.
Older than A12 falls below the speed needed for real-time playback. iPhone XS / XR / SE2 or newer recommended.
Use in-app "Settings → Support" or email support@yomite.app. Expect a reply within 1–2 business days.
Use the in-app pronunciation dictionary to register a reading. The override applies everywhere that word appears.
